Construction to begin on the new Tolleson Family Activity CenterBY: Alex Johnston
We are thrilled to announce that construction on the new Tolleson Family Activity Center will begin next week! Our hearts are filled with gratitude for Dallas and Virginia Biggers. Their selfless gift, back in 1983, allowed our church to build the original building. Over the past 34 years, the Biggers Building served as a hub for families and youth across our community. Our hope is that the new Center will continue this extraordinary legacy of serving families in our community.
The 65,000 sq. ft. Tolleson Family Activity Center will have dedicated space for Special Needs Ministry, Youth Ministry, and an underground parking garage with 140 new parking spaces. On the first floor, our friends with special needs will enjoy a sensory room, motor movement room, and their own fully functional kitchen. The second floor will be for HPUMC’s Youth Ministry, and features a gaming center, lounge area, and café. The third floor will house a gymnasium and 500-person worship center.
Construction on the Tolleson Family Activity Center is expected to be complete in early 2019.
Will you join us in finishing strong?
To date, we have raised $58 million in cash and pledges leaving another $7 million to go toward our goal of $65 million.
We hope you will continue to pray for God to work among all of us as we strive to reach beyond our limits, beyond ourselves, and beyond our walls. If you have not pledged or given to the Beyond Campaign, will you please consider giving today, or drop your pledge card in the offering this weekend.
